Stoke confirm talks over deal for Barcelona forward
Stoke City are closing on a deal for Barcelona youngster Bojan Krkic.
The 23-year-old, once hailed as a future Lionel Messi, has not featured for the Catalan giants in three years, instead spending time on loan with Ajax, AC Milan and Roma where he was actually bought by the Serie A side before Barca invoked a buy-back clause.
But despite a promising start for Barcelona where he became the youngest player to make his debut for the club Bojan has failed to live up to his potential and now appears ready to move on from Camp Nou once again in a bid to rebuild his career.
Stoke are believed to be leading the chase for the youngster, according to the Telegraph, with Mark Hughes eyeing a season-long loan.
Potters chairman Peter Coates said: Mark has met with the player and were quietly confident of getting it all completed soon.
Attacking players have been very much the focus for Mark since the end of last season and obviously Bojan would be another very good addition.
