Rooney n RVP will be my deadly duo

Manchester United boss Fergie has so far decided against starting his dynamic duo together.
That is partly due to the array of talent he has with Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez making up a forward quartet Sir Alex has called his best since 1999.
But Ferguson feels Roo and RVP can be as fearsome for United as Dwight Yorke and Andy Cole were 13 years ago.
The Old Trafford chief said: Van Persie is flexible because he can play in different positions.
He is such a mobile player, there are great options with him. And Wayne can play behind and he can play up.
Hernandez is the only one-position player and that is through the middle.
Can Wayne and Robin play together Yes, absolutely no doubt about that.
And Welbeck can play with them, there is no question about that.
Fergie, who takes his team to Southampton today, says his forwards give him great options. It is a good job, too, as he will be without Rooney for a month due to the horrific gash he suffered to his right leg against Fulham last week.
But he also admitted his class of 2012-13 are giving him a bigger striking dilemma than when United won the Treble.
Asked if he faced his toughest ever selection, Fergie said: For strikers, definitely. More difficult than 1999.
Back then, Dwight Yorke and Andy Cole developed an incredible partnership so they were always my two main ones. Now I have players who give me good options and that is where it is going to be difficult.
SunSport revealed last week how there is a question mark over Rooneys long-term future at Old Trafford.
There is no guarantee the England hitman will walk back into the team once he recovers from his injury.
And Fergie admits it could affect Rooney if he is left out of the starting XI again, like he was against Fulham, once he is fit.
He said: It could. Players like to be playing every week. For now it is only one game, so its not a problem at the moment.
