Torres: Barca links don't interest me
Fernando Torres has ruled out a summer move to Barcelona, despite admitting he is flattered by the Catalan clubs interest.
The Spaniard has been linked with a return to his native country following an inconsistent couple of years at Chelsea and reports returning boss Jose Mourinho does not see Torres as part of his plans.
Mourinho has told the press he wants to speak to each of his players in person, but will wait to converse with those competing in the Confederations Cup until after the tournament.
And Torres says that whatever happens, he is excited about the prospect of working with the former Real Madrid manager.
Theres no better place than to be than at Chelsea with Mourinho, added the Spaniard.
He has won a lot more than many of us. Its a new challenge and were looking forward to it.
But the 29-year-old, who ended last season as the Blues top scorer, insists he has no plans to bring his time at Stamford Bridge to a close, despite welcoming Barcas interest.
I want to continue, I want to complete the contract I signed and continue winning trophies and I would like to be the best in the world in my position again, Torres told Spanish newspaper AS.
Its always nice to hear about interest from clubs like Barcelona, but my plan is to stay at Chelsea.
