Arsenal ready to trump Juve with £25.5m Higuain bid
Arsenal are ready to blow Juventus out of the water in the race for Gonzalo Higuain with a reported £25.5million bid.
Spanish sources claim the Gunners are ready to stump up a lump sum payment which is £6.8m more than what Juve are currently prepared to offer.
The Italians are also said to be keen on splitting the fee into five installments, which is a far less attractive proposition for Real Madrid.
Either way, the Spaniards are unlikely to give the go-ahead to any move for Higuain until after a new first team manager is confirmed.
Carlo Ancelotti is expected to be announced as Jose Mourihos successor in the coming weeks, and while Higuain has made his desire to quit the Bernabeu clear, Real want the Italian to have his say.
Higuain has three years remaining on his current deal, and Real president Florentino Perez has previously warned both Arsenal and Juventus that theyll need to bid in excess of £25.5m in order to land the Argentinean.
With £25.5m its better that they dont come, he said.
Lets see if people ask us for £50m for everyone and we sell one of ours for half that.
