Rooney left out of Manchester United squad to play AIK

Decision comes after fresh £30m offer from Chelsea
United say striker 'hurt his shoulder' in training
Wayne Rooney has been left out of Manchester United's squad to play AIK in Sweden on Tuesday. The decision came after United said they had rejected a second bid from Chelsea for the striker, thought to be around £25m plus add-ons taking it to near the £30m mark.

The club said they were leaving Rooney at home after he injured his shoulder in training, but the move is bound to increase speculation that the England striker is on his way to Stamford Bridge.
"Wayne hurt his shoulder in a fall during a match on Saturday," the manager, David Moyes, said. "It's not too serious and I don't expect it to keep him out for too long. I'm disappointed he's missing the game because we were keen to get him back involved and ready to play."
Nemanja Vidic will captain the side after recovering from sciatica while the Portuguese winger Bébé, signed for £7.4m in 2010 but who has yet to start a game in the Premier League, is also in the squad.
Rooney had already suffered a hamstring injury on the first day of United's tour to Asia and had been flown home to recover.
A United spokesman said of Chelsea's approach: "A bid was received yesterday and immediately rejected. Our position remains that he is not for sale."
