Real want to add Suarez to summer spending

Liverpool will have to renew their fight to keep hold of Luis Suarez, after it emerged Real Madrid are keen on signing the striker and wont give up until they have their man.
Suarez has been trying to engineer a move away from Anfield this summer, with Arsenal thought to be leading the race for the Uruguayan for several weeks. But after Liverpool rejected the Gunners £40-plus-a-pound bid, Arsene Wengers interest waned and Suarez vowed to remain on Merseyside.
However reports tonight suggest Real, who have already shown interest in Suarez this summer, are set to make a concrete offer for the 26year-old, with it looking increasingly likely striker Karim Benzema will follow Gonzalo Higuain out of the Bernabeu.
Benzema has become Arsenals top transfer target after the Gunners missed out on Suarez and should the French international move to north London, it would leave 20-year-old Alvaro Morata as Reals only out-and-out frontman.
But despite the Spanish sides apparent determination to snap up Suarez, Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers maintained a firm stance over the strikers Anfield future.
Im sure there will be plenty of activity in these last number of days. It is what it is and we will deal with it like we have during the summer, he told the Guardian.
Its very difficult at this time (for a Suárez bid to succeed). We are trying to get one or two more quality players in through the door. If we lose Luis at this stage it would be difficult to replace him.
There might have been a point a few months ago where there was time to do it but with 11 days to go it would be difficult to replace him.
