Shirt swaps to be funded by Capital One

The habit of lower league players sidling up to the likes of Frank Lampard and Robin van Persie in the closing stages of League Cup fixtures is set to get a lot worse this season, with sponsors Capital One offering to foot the bill for swapped shirts.
Football League clubs often have to ban their players from exchanging jerseys with Premier League stars in both the League and FA Cup, as they cannot afford to replace them.
But Capital One have offered the likes of Burton Albion, Morecambe, Bury and Newport players the chance to grab the shirts of their heroes when they face Fulham, Newcastle, Norwich and West Brom respectively.

Were really grateful to Capital One for their support. Its always a special evening for our club to face Premier League opposition, and the Capital One Cup fixture against Norwich City gives our squad a chance to test themselves against some truly top class players, said Bury chairman Stewart Day.
Its great that theyll have the opportunity of swapping shirts and grabbing a souvenir from what will hopefully be a memorable night in the clubs history.
