The keeper dropped in on the Atleti training ground in Majadahonda to collect his things and say goodbye to the squad. Hes returning to Chelsea after his loan deal finished.
Thibaut Courtois said goodbye to the Atlético squad this afternoon. Hes returning to Chelsea, where hell be next season, after his loan deal with the Madrid club came to an end. The Belgian keeper went to the Atleti training ground of Cerro del Espino with his girlfriend. He picked up his things and said goodbye, one by one, to the players who just a month ago were his teammates. Courtois also left his club car at the training ground.
Courtois played 56 games with Atleti this season, shipping just 40 goals and recording 28 clean sheets. In the three years hes been at the club he reached the final of the Champions League and won the League, the Cup, the Europa League and the UEFA Super Cup.
