Palace 'see off Arsenal and Liverpool in Caulker race'

Crystal Palace look to have beaten a host of other top flight clubs to the signing of Cardiffs Steven Caulker.
The defender had been linked with numerous Premier League clubs following the Bluebirds relegation to the Championship, with Arsenal, Liverpool, Everton, QPR and even former club Tottenham all believed to be in the running for his signature.
But it appears Palace boss Tony Pulis has convinced the 22-year-old to move to Selhurst Park, in a deal thought to be worth £8m, according to the Mirror.
QPR looked to have emerged as the frontrunners to snap up the centre-half over the past week, but the £42,000-a-week wages on offer from the Eagles eclipsed what Rangers were willing to offer.
The deal is expected to be officially confirmed over the coming days.
