Di Maria jets in for Man United medical
Angel Di Maria is set to undergo a medical at Manchester United ahead of his £64m move from Real Madrid.
The Argentine international, who has said his farewells to his team-mates in Spain, is set to jet in to Manchester this afternoon and is expected to have put pen to paper by tomorrow night.
United have already agreed a British record transfer fee for the winger, with the £64m deal eclipsing the £50m Chelsea paid Liverpool for Fernando Torres in 2011.
According to Times journalist Oliver Kay, Di Maria will officially be a Manchester United player by tomorrow evening, as he becomes their fourth signing of the summer.
Louis van Gaal has already added Luke Shaw, Ander Herrera and Marcos Rojo to his squad and the spending is not expected to stop there, despite just a week remaining of the summer transfer window.
United are thought to remain keen on Dutch defender Daley Blind, while a central midfielder is still on Van Gaals wish list, following his sides poor start to the season which has seen them take just a point from their opening two matches against Swansea and Sunderland.
