Fulham To Go Ahead With Complaint Against Liverpool Over Clint Dempsey Pursuit
Fulham will press ahead with their complaint to the Premier League over Liverpools summer pursuit of Clint Dempsey, despite the American forward signing for Tottenham.
Liverpool were tracking the forward, who was keen to leave Fulham, but in July the south-west London club made a complaint against the Reds to the Premier League for what they perceived was a clear instance of tapping-up.
The action came following comments made by Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers about Liverpools interest in Dempsey, after an article appeared on the website of Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG) suggesting they had signed the 29-year-old.
While many were shocked to see Dempsey join Tottenham and not Liverpool, his £6m move to White Hart Lane has done nothing to appease the Fulham management, according to the BBC.
Dempsey will be hoping to make his debut for new-club Spurs on 16th September when the Premier League returns after the international break.
