ALAN PARDEW refused to read the riot act after his side escaped paying a penalty for Papiss Cisses woeful spot-kick.
The Senegal ace had the chance to net his first goal this season after his team-mates decided he should take the penalty instead of Hatem Ben Arfa during the 1-0 win over Norwich. But he blazed over.
Pards said: Id just like my penalty taker to take the penalty. But it shows spirit as the players wanted Papiss to score.
