Ash in Twitter row to attack Shearer

ASHLEY COLE has taken to Twitter again this time to attack Alan Shearer.
Cole retweeted a comment sent by a fan labelling Shearer a hypocrite after he called for the Chelsea full-back to be dropped by England.
It read: Alan Shearer says @TheRealAC3 needs to be banned for his comments. I want his opinion on bans for kicking Neil Lennon in the head. #GlassHouses.
This comes a week after Cole labelled the FA a bunch of t**ts for questioning his evidence in defending John Terry on a charge of racially abusing Anton Ferdinand.
Cole is set to be fined £220,000 two weeks wages by his club for that tweet and could be charged by the FA.
Now he has hit out at Shearer, who said on Match of the Day that the FA needed to make a stand against Cole for his abuse and axe him for Fridays World Cup qualifier against San Marino.
Shearer said: I think the FA can put a big statement out here by actually not fining him but actually banning him on Friday against San Marino.
Because weve seen players fined £50,000, £60,000, £70,000. Thats not a deterrent to them. Stopping them from playing football will be a deterrent.
Last night Shearer told SunSport: I gave my opinion and I stand by it.
He can say what he wants but Im not getting involved in that.
Coles response through a retweet refers to Shearers controversial kick to the face of Neil Lennon back in April 1998 when he was playing for Newcastle.
Shearer escaped any punishment for that incident when he was fouled by Leicester midfielder Lennon and then caught him in the face with his boot as they were both on the ground.
The former England captain immediately apologised, calling it an accident and, while he was charged by the FA, he was later cleared at a hearing.
