Arsene Wenger Big isnt beautiful.
The Gunners boss reckons size matters but only because the little guys are now larging it up across Europe.
Wengers pint-sized star Santi Cazorla has dazzled this year, while miniature magicians Xavi and Iniesta continue to dominate in Spain.
And the Frenchman claims small, technically-gifted players are footballs new heroes.
He said: The quality of the pass and the technique in the final third has become much more important.
There is less space available, so accuracy is key.
And because there is a smaller space the shorter players, the very agile players, are becoming more important and the taller players in midfield less so. That could be an explanation.
Its changed in the last four or five years the distances absorbed by players are becoming bigger and bigger, and therefore the limited space on the pitch demands more technical ability.
