Gone Lewis Holtby joins Spurs
LEWIS HOLTBY has completed a £1.5million move to Tottenham five months ahead of schedule.
Holtby, 22, had signed a pre-contract agreement to join Spurs on a free in the summer.
But following Sandros season-ending injury, boss Andre Villas-Boas pushed to land the midfielder in the January window.
And German Holtby will now head to North London early after Schalke accepted a bid from White Hart Lane top brass.
Schalke director of sport Horst Heldt said: We have found the best solution for all involved.
Lewis had hinted to us that he would not be against moving immediately, and Schalke have received a decent sum for a player whose contract was due to expire in five months.
