Martinez appointed new Everton boss
Everton have confirmed Roberto Martinez as their new manager.
The Spaniard replaces Manchester United bound David Moyes, having agreed a four-year deal.
The former Wigan boss will be officially unveiled at a press conference at 4pm.
Everton Football Club is today delighted to confirm the appointment of Roberto Martinez as its next manager, read a statement from the Merseyside club.
The 39-year-old Spaniard joins from Wigan Athletic and has signed a four-year contract at Goodison Park.
Mr Martinez will be officially unveiled as the clubs 14th permanent manager at a media conference on Wednesday afternoon.
Martinez led Wigan to a shock FA Cup triumph last season but was powerless to prevent the Latics getting relegated to the Championship.
