Arsenal have begun clearing the decks ahead of a summer transfer spree by confirming Andrey Arshavin, Denilson and Sebastien Squillaci will leave the club when their contracts expire at the end of the month.
The trio have all dropped down the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium as manager Arsene Wenger called on them sparingly and their departures were expected.

Russian international Arshavin came to north London with a considerable pedigree in February 2009 after helping Zenit St Petersburg lift the Uefa Cup in the 207/08 season and impressing at Euro 2008 with a series of eye-catching performances.
The 32-year-old started his Gunners career well, making 144 appearances and netting 31 goals including all four when Arsenal drew 4-4 with Liverpool at Anfield in April 2009.
However, his stock at the club quickly sank and he was farmed out on loan back to former club, Zenit at the end of the 2011/12 season and despite returning to the Emirates after the spell ended, he made only 11 appearances in all competitions.
Brazilian midfielder Denilson, who made 156 appearances between 2006 and 2011, has spent the last two seasons on loan at Sao Paulo.
Squillaci was signed three years ago from Spanish side Sevilla but the 32-year-old French defender made only 23 league appearances.
