Real tell Arsenal not to bother with £25.5m Higuain offer
Real Madrid have fired a warning to Arsenal and Juventus, by insisting they wont entertain offers of £25.5million for Gonzalo Higuain.
The Argentinean striker is being tracked by both clubs this summer, but Real president Florentino Perez has told the Gunners and Juve to get real if they want to prise Higuain away from the Bernabeu.
Both sides are willing to pay around the £20m mark for the wantaway forward, while Real were reported to be demanding closer to 30m (£25.5m).
However, Perez insists both values are wide of the mark, snapping: With £25.5m its better that they dont come.
The Real chiefs hardball stance seems to stem from that fact that the Spanish giants are being quoted fees in excess of £50m for a host of transfer targets including Gareth Bale and Napolis Edinson Cavani.
Lets see if people ask us for £50m for everyone and we sell one of ours for half that, he added.
The Madrid hierarchy are understood to be against making any further decision on Higuain without the approval of the new coach likely to be Carlo Ancelotti, who is still under contract with Paris Saint-Germain.
Juventuss director general, Beppe Marotta, said: Real Madrid have told us that Higuaín is not for sale and that no decision will be taken before the new coach arrives.
