Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas to be approached by Paris Saint-Germain
Paris Saint-Germain are set to approach Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas to take charge of the club, according to sources in France and Italy.
PSG are preparing themselves for the potential departure of Ligue 1 winning manager Carlo Ancelotti, who remains favourite to be named Jose Mourinhos successor at Real Madrid, and are believed to have earmarked Villas-Boas as the perfect man for the job.
Madrid and PSG are still locked in a row over a compensation deal for former Chelsea boss Ancelotti, but the French side are already hunting for his replacement.
And according to Sky Italia and numerous French media sources, the Parisians have already decided to make contact with Villas-Boas in an attempt to lure him away from White Hart Lane.
Italian sports correspondent Tancredi Palmeri tweeted: BOOM! PSG will contact Andre Villas-Boas to check his availability, according to Sky Italy.
Should the Portuguese elect to quit Spurs this summer, it could spell an end to the clubs Champions League hopes, with Villas-Boas having started to build a side capable of sustaining a prolonged top four challenge last season, despite narrowly missing out to north London rivals Arsenal.
But any new manager may have to start the process again and may also have to contest with the departure of star man Gareth Bale.
