Unless you have been living in a fridge or you have a penchant for eating mind-altering beetroot you will know that Jose Mourinho is the new manager at Chelsea.
Rumours of the Special Ones return to Stamford Bridge seem to have been doing the rounds since just after he left back in 2007. But the news was finally confirmed last week and Jose was unveiled, much like a Town Hall clock, in a media frenzy on Monday.
Sky Sports News did what they always do on these occasions and sent a film crew down to chat with those fans that loiter outside the club shop, the ones in ill-fitting replica shirts clutching team logo carrier bags.
A few heartfelt gems were gleaned as Skys interrogator mined this rich vein of wisdom before the camera man focused on a chap in a Chelsea shirt weaving his way through the throng with a parrot on each shoulder.
The gentleman had a weary, yet contented look, and one began to ponder whether the news that Jose was back at the Bridge had come as something of a relief. After all, had he, being such a fan of the club, devoted his life to teaching his feathery friends how to say the names of each and every Chelsea manger
A harmless pastime if you were to be a Manchester United fan one new moniker to learn every 27 years. However, since Joses last spell in charge Chelsea have had eight different mangers and that is an awful lot of time spent sitting holding a piece of banana and having the crap pecked out of you just to amuse your friends.
Guus Hindink, Luis Felipe Scolari, Andre Villas-Boas, it all adds up to a shed load of soft fruit and a mountain of Elastoplast.
But now, maybe, our well-pecked chum can finally relax, confident that Blues owner Roman Abramovich will keep faith in his man, and a quick refresher will soon see his beaky pals squawking for the mighty Jose.
