Man United target Marchisio not for sale
Manchester United have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Claudio Marchisio after Juventus denied they would be willing to sell the midfielder this summer.
The 27-year-old said last week he would be proud to swap the Old Lady for Old Trafford if David Moyes were interested.
But Juves general manager Guiseppe Marotta insists the midfielder is not for sale.
Marchisio There is no meeting; there is no problem with him, he said.

Juventus have never thought about putting him on the market, he is an important player and we will try to keep him with us.

Marchisio has been at Juventus for his entire career and featured 37 times for the club in all competitions last season, scoring eight goals.
Meanwhile, the Serie A side are also locked in a battle with Arsenal as the pair pursue Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain.
The Gunners look favourites to land the Argentine international, but Marotta remains confident the Italians could make a last-minute swoop for the 25-year-old.
