Man City set to miss out on Isco
Manchester City are set to be beaten to the signing of Isco by Real Madrid, with negotiations for the player nearing a conclusion.
The 21-year-old is being tracked by a host of clubs across Europe, but it looks as though Madrid are now in the driving seat to secure the Malaga playmakers signature, despite strong interest from his former boss Manuel Pellegrini at City.

Real who are expected to announce outgoing Paris Saint Germain manager Carlo Ancelotti as Jose Mourinhos successor in the coming days met again with Malaga yesterday, with talks believed to be at an advanced stage.

City have already made an offer for the Spaniard but the youngster, who revealed his future could be decided by the end of the weekend, is thought to favour staying in La Liga above a move to the Premier League.
If Pellegrini fails to get his man, it could leave him to turn back to Napoli striker Edinson Cavani, despite the Citizens apparently baulking at his £53m release clause.
