Evra to seek Manchester United transfer
Patrice Evra is edging closer to a Manchester United exit after boss David Moyes began his pursuit of Everton left-back Leighton Baines.
Former Toffees manager Moyes wants Baines to follow him to Old Trafford and the Premier League champions made their first move for the 28-year-old earlier this week.

United opened the bidding at £12m, which was reportedly rejected out of sight by the Everton hierarchy, but the move has sent out a message to both Baines and serving Manchester United left-back Evra.

But that would leave 32-year-old Evra on the sidelines as he approaches the tail end of his career, a position he is not willing to be in.
It has been reported big-spending Monaco would be keen on snapping up the defender for £6m in a move which would see Evra return to the club he left in January 2006.
