Chelsea ask St Etienne to name Zouma price
Chelsea have asked St Etienne to name their price for defender Kurt Zouma as Jose Mourinho continues to shape his new-look Blues squad.
Mourinho has already swooped for Bayer Leverkusen winger Andre Schurrle, and the Special One is targeting two more signings before Chelsea return to pre-season training.
Top of the list is the addition of a new centre back and, after refusing to meet Portos £50million valuation of Eliaquim Mangala, French youngster Zouma is the new target.
Manchester United and Newcastle have already failed with bids for the 18-year-old, and Chelsea want to know exactly how much St Etienne are demanding before doing business.
According to reports in France, Mourinho has personally approached the Ligue 1 club and is waiting on a firm answer before lodging a bid of his own.
