Bale 'agrees six-year deal with Madrid'

Real Madrid have agreed personal terms with Tottenhams Gareth Bale, according to reports in Spain
Real Madrid were today reported to be closing in on a long-term deal with £85million Tottenham star Gareth Bale which would earn him £5m a year.
Madrid newspaper Marca, which has extremely close links with Real, has a picture of the 24-year-old Wales international on their front page and alleges he has asked to move from White Hart Lane to the Bernabeu.
But rival Spanish newspaper AS claims Real are ready to make a massive move for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez.
Real will not have the money to sign both players from the Premier League, while Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas has reiterated that his star asset is not for sale.
Marca have previously correctly predicted that Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo and Luka Modric were all joining Real ahead of those moves becoming public and they trumpet that Bale is happy to sign a six-year contract.
But they also anticipate another long battle with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy, who has also pledged the former Southampton player will not be sold.
Villas-Boas, speaking at a press conference in Hong Kong today, said of Bales future: I want to repeat what I was telling you last season and what I was telling you from the beginning of pre-season.
He is a player that we are willing to continue to have, hes a Tottenham player, hes one of the most fantastic players in the world at the moment and we are counting on him for the future.
Unfortunately against Sunderland he wont be fit to play, hes recovering from a knock he had in training so we expect him hopefully to have some involvement in the second game.
Manchester United have also been linked with a move for the Tottenham talisman but in the unlikely event he does become available they will struggle to match Real Madrids promise to pay £85m to buy Bale.
