Arsenal planning to beat Manchester United and Chelsea to the signing of Geoffrey Kondogbia
Arsenal are preparing a bid for Manchester United and Chelsea target Geoffrey Kondogbia from Sevilla.
The powerful young midfielder has won rave reviews following his first season in LA Liga, after moving from Lens, and United were reported as showing strong interest earlier this summer.
Chelsea and Real Madrid are also known to be admirers of the 20-year-old Frenchman but, according to reports in Europe, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is planning on beating his rivals to the punch by meeting the £8.5million release clause.
Kondogbia starred for France at the Under-20 World Cup this summer, where he played in the same side as recent Arsenal arrival Yaya Sanogo. and Sevilla coach Unai Emery is resigned to losing the player at some point.
