United fury over Chelsea's Rooney mind games

Manchester United insist they have no intention of accepting a third bid from Chelsea for Wayne Rooney and are reportedly furious over Jose Mourinhos alleged attempts to unsettle the striker.
Chelsea have already had two bids for Rooney turned down by United this summer, despite the England international thought to be keen on leaving Old Trafford.
But Blues boss Mourinho said he will not be making a third bid until after the two sides have met in the Premier League on Monday night for ethical reasons.

However, United have perceived this as an attempt to unsettle Rooney a 62nd-minute substitute in their opening day victory over Swansea and are said to be enraged by the move.
Our position on Wayne has not changed in the last 12 months and Chelsea know that, a club source told the Manchester Evening News.

There is lot of anger and a perception that the latest comments have been made purely to get into the players head before the match.
It is currently unclear whether the 27-year-old will play any part in Mondays encounter, but Chelsea remain confident a third bid of around £35m will be enough to secure the strikers services before the end of the transfer window.
