Chelsea set to complete Willian signing

Chelsea have beaten Tottenham to the signing of Anzhi star Willian after finalising a £30million deal for the Brazil international.
Willian, who was told he can leave Anzhi earlier this month, had agreed terms on a switch to Spurs earlier this week.
But despite the player having a medical and agreeing a five-year-deal at White Hart Lane, Chelsea swooped at the last minute to hijack the deal.

Its thought a personal call from owner Roman Abramovich worked in in the Blues favour, while Jose Mourinho revealed on Friday that the player preferred a switch to Stamford Bridge over joining Tottenham.
Chelsea have since finalised a deal for Willian, with the winger set to complete the move in the next few days, pending a successful work permit application.
It is understood that Chelsea will pay the £30million transfer fee in two installments over the next 18 months.
Willian, who was a target for the Blues while managed by Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas, is said to have been swayed by the opportunity to play Champions League football.
