Has the arrival of the iPhone 5S and 5C on September 10 accidentally been confirmed
One of Chinas largest telecom companies appears to have let the proverbial cat out of the bag after a pre-order page for the eagerly-anticipated smartphone appeared online.
China Telecom posted information about Apples latest products (yet to be confirmed) on its Sina Weibo account, the countrys equivalent of Twitter.
China has been chosen as [the] first country where the iPhone 5S/5C will be shipped! the post said, along with purported images of the new handsets.
The posts were later taken down, but not before dozens of users took screenshots of the page to share on social media as Apple sent out invites to a media event next week.
Meanwhile, Vodafone Germany has further fuelled iPhone speculation after announcing it will be discontinuing the 32GB and 64GB iPhone 5.
Analysts believe the move will see the budget 5C, middle-range 16GB iPhone 5 and flagship 5S make up a three-tier price range strategy.
The flagship 5S has been tipped to boast a faster A7 processor, iOS 7 operating system and come in a variety of colours including champagne and graphite.
Both are expected to go on sale worldwide on September 20.
