iPhone 5S launch: Apple Store goes offline

It appears Apple is making its final preparations ahead of the expected release of the iPhone 5S and 5C.
With just hours to go before the big announcement, the online Apple Store has temporarily shut down as the tech firm gets ready for the imminent arrival of the much-rumoured new handset.
Well be back. Were busy updating the Apple Store and will be back soon, says a message on the site.
Presumably that will be around 6pm (GMT) when Apple CEO Tim Cook takes to the stage at the firms Cupertino headquarters in California.

Satellite events will also be taking in Berlin, Germany; Tokyo; Japan; and Beijing; China after Apple sent out invites last week promising: This should brighten everyones day.
The new 5S has been tipped to come in a variety of colours, feature fingerprint scanning technology and Apples new iOS 7.
Check back with us this evening from 6pm to find out all the confirmed details.
