Johnson hands Liverpool injury boost
Liverpool have been handed a boost by the news Glen Johnson could return from injury sooner than first thought.
The right-back was originally ruled out of action until Christmas, after he sustained an ankle injury during the Reds 1-0 win over Manchester United nearly two weeks ago.
But despite the 10-week prognosis, Johnson today tweeted he may be available for selection ahead of schedule.
He posted: Injury doesnt seem as bad as first thought, hopefully be back sooner than originally expected!

Thank you everyone for the Get well messages!!!

Johnson was absent for Englands two World Cup qualifiers over the past week, with Tottenhams Kyle Walker stepping in at right-back.
And while the 29-year-old may be set to return sooner than anticipated, he could yet miss the Merseyside derby at the end of November.
Liverpool have won all three of their opening Premier League games this season and sit two points clear of Chelsea at the top of the table.
