Mourinho: Eto'o to make Blues bow at Everton
Samuel Etoo is set to make his Chelsea debut this weekend when the Blues travel to Everton, Jose Mourinho has confirmed.
The Cameroon striker arrived at Stamford Bridge earlier this summer, following Mourinhos failed pursuit of Manchester Uniteds Wayne Rooney, and could be handed a place in the starting line up at Goodison Park ahead of both Fernando Torres and Demba Ba.
He [Etoo] will be selected and when you are selected and you are a striker, you play, said Mourinho.
He will be playing his first minutes for Chelsea in the Premier League.
I think hes a player adapted to the style of play we want in our team.

He has a natural appetite for goals and he will give experience to a team which, in attacking areas, is very very young.
Mourinho also laughed off Etoos comments that he once vowed never to play for the Portuguese, before proceeding to work with him at Inter Milan and now Chelsea.

Yes [I knew he felt like that], Mourinho laughed. You have to be experienced, you have to be smart. Sometimes you say things then a few years later you are faced with a difficult situation, so it is fine.
I had a similar situation early in my career with Deco. We know when we are on the same side, everything changes.
While Etoo is set to make his first appearance for the Blues, one player who wont feature is Romelu Lukaku, having joined the Toffees on loan from Chelsea on transfer deadline day.

And despite the Belgians talent, Mourinho says it wasnt a difficult decision to send him on loan for a second successive season.
It was not so hard because it was something he was very keen to do, said the Blues boss.
He wants to play every weekend, I dont know if Roberto [Martinez] promised him that, but hes a great kid and thats why we dont want to sell him. We all believe hes a player for many years at Chelsea.
