Moyes tight-lipped over Bale bid reports
Manchester United boss David Moyes has refused to comment on the latest reports he made a staggering £125m bid for Gareth Bale before the Welshman joined Real Madrid.
Reports surfacing in French sports newspaper LEquipe today said the Premier League champions made the highest offer in the summer scramble for Bale, after Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti revealed his side had been outbid.
But when questioned on the speculation following his sides 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace, Moyes remained tight-lipped on the subject.
I wouldnt confirm anything, the window has now closed, said the Manchester United boss.
I have said many times we are always bidding for the best players.

Bale is set to make his Real Madrid debut tonight when Ancelottis side travel to Villarreal.
The Italian yesterday confirmed his new signing would play some part in tonights encounter, but could not confirm whether Bale who started on the bench for Wales in midweek would be fit enough to be handed a place in the first XI.
