United rake in record revenue
Manchester United have announced record annual revenue, rising by 13.4 per cent to £363.2million for the year to June 30, 2013.
With new commercial deals announced on almost a weekly basis, the news comes as no surprise with revenues in that field rising a eye-watering 29.7 per cent to £152.5m.
The increase in commercial revenue is the most significant rise in the overall 13.4 per cent increase, while the clubs debt has fallen by 10.9 per cent to £389.2m.
Uniteds adjusted profit for the time-frame is £17.2m but wages rose 11.6 per cent to £180.5million this was a result of increased staffing levels needed to work on the clubs new digital operation and player salary increase.
Sponsorship revenue rose 44.1 per cent to £90.9m, however, broadcast revenue dipped 2.3 per cent to £101.6m.
