Ozil 'couldn't cope with Madrid pressure', claims Perez
Mesut Ozil quit Real Madrid because he could not stand the pressure, according to the clubs president Florentino Perez.
The German international joined Arsenal in a £42.5m transfer deadline day move and has already proved a big hit at the Emirates.
Ozil made his Gunners debut last Saturday in a 3-1 victory over Sunderland, in which he provided the assist for Olivier Girouds opener, and also played a full 90 minutes last night in their win in Marseille.
But Perezhas called the 24-year-olds ability to handle pressure into question.
Ozil asked to leave the club environment and here, no-one should be upset, Perez is quoted as saying in Spanish newspaper AS.

He could not stand the pressure of Madrid.
The Madrid president has already hit out at Ozil since his departure earlier this month, labelling the midfielder unprofessional and obsessed with women, although Ozil is set to take legal action over the jibes.
