Jose Mourinho has no regrets over Romelu Lukaku loan
Jose Mourinho insists he has no regrets over sending Romelu Lukaku on loan to Everton.
The striker joined the Toffees on transfer deadline day on a season-long loan deal, leaving the Blues with just Fernando Torres, Demba Ba and summer signing Samuel Etoo as their forward options.
But the trio have managed just a goal between them so far this term with Mourinhos men struggling to find the back of the net.
However, despite the Blues form in front of goal, Mourinho says he has not had second thought about sending Lukaku to Merseyside.
When asked if he regretted the decision, the Portuguese said: No, not at all.
I think Lukaku is good in Everton if he is going to play every game. I think thats good for his future and for the future of Chelsea.
Mourinho also confirmed the Belgian international could not be recalled in January, simply shaking his head when questioned.
Lukaku, meanwhile, could make his Everton debut when they travel to West Ham tomorrow and will be hoping to improve on his tally of 17 goals which he scored while on loan at West Brom last season.
