Johnson has leg brace removed
Glen Johnson has moved a step closer to returning to action after the Liverpool man had his leg brace removed.
Johnson was due to be out until Christmas with an ankle injury picked up during the Reds 1-0 victory over Manchester United at the beginning of the month.
But later scans revealed the defender may be back ahead of the initial 10-week prognosis.

And the 29-year-old today tweeted a picture of the removal of the brace, indicating he could be back training sooner rather than later.

It is yet unclear whether Johnson will be fit for Englands forthcoming World Cup qualifiers next month. although the signs are promising for his participation in the Merseyside derby at the end of November.
