Mourinho backed to get the best out of Mata
Chelseas assistant coach Steve Holland has told Juan Mata that he must keep faith in boss Jose Mourinho to make him a better player.
Holland insists Mourinho can do for Mata what he did for Cristiano Ronaldo who improved his game still further under the Portuguese at the Bearnabeu following his then world record move from Manchester United.
Mata, who has made just two starts this term, is set to feature in Chelseas Capital One Cup third round visit to Swindon tomorrow night. And Mourinho has told the Spain World Cup winner to prove his worth at the County Ground.

He (Mourinho) is always pushing, pushing the players to the maximum every day, Holland said.
Thats evident not just in his teams, but in the individuals hes worked with.
If you look Joses three-year period working with Ronaldo, hes really evolved as an individual. Hes not just a talented dribbler and runner with the ball who can score goals.
He has become a top-level match-winner who wants to run in behind, make runs, threaten the goal. I dont think that just happens, it comes with pushing, even if its the best.
On a day-to-day basis he (Mourinho) will be pushing for signs of improvement, working to progress the individual but ultimately for the benefit of the tea
