Why Lukaku needs to keep his mouth shut at Everton
Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku is undoubtedly a talent and has a bright future in football as long as he keeps up the good work on the pitch.
But some of his comments since joining Everton on-loan in the summer have sparked needless controversy off the field.
Its an issue that has been the subject of debate between the Stamford Bridge faithful as many were initially upset that he was loaned out in the first place and everyone wished him well at his new club.
Sso its difficult to understand just why hed risk this public backing with little digs at his parent club.
Ahead of the Blues trip to Goodison Park the forward was asked if he wanted Everton to win and he said: Yes, I have to be honest.

Many were willing to let that slide and excused Lukaku for his youth and put it down to wanting to win his new fans over, whilst others argued that it was pretty stupid of a 20-year-old to be fooled by a yes/no question.
It would have been easy to bat it away diplomatically by saying that he just hopes its a good game or that the best team will win.
As it was, it wasnt much of an issue and you would hope hed learn from it that was until he gave his most recent interview to Belgian newspaper Nieuwsblad.
He said: I hope my goals will help Everton finish higher than Chelsea. I am at Everton for the season, and I want to do as well as I possibly can for them.
In fairness to him, in the same interview, he also praised Jose Mourinho and expressed his wish that they are both at Chelsea for a long time, before saying he wants the best for the club.
But which comments do you think the press picked up on
Now, we can put this down to immaturity again but as a player it would be best for Lukaku to put his head down and work. When hes asked the inevitable questions about his parent club he should only wish them well and thats it, it wouldnt be difficult and that way he avoids upsetting the fans.
Additionally, if he really did want to make a point to his manager then hes wasting his time doing it through the press as you would have to be extremely naïve to believe youll change Mourinhos mind or pressure him into doing so by making a few choice words to the media.
Lukaku has been doing his talking on the pitch by scoring and making goals for Everton and thats the only way hell impress Mourinho, but he will have to show his manager that he has the maturity to make a name for himself at Chelsea as well.
