Bale backs underfire Villas-Boas

Gareth Bale insists Tottenham should keep faith with Andre Villas-Boas and believes the underfire Portuguese is still the right man to take the club forward.
The pressure was cranked up on the Spurs manager after last weeks 6-0 drubbing at Manchester City.
But Bale, who quit Tottenham in the summer for Real Madrid, told BT Sport in an exclusive interview, that his former coach deserves to be backed by fans and the clubs hierarchy.
Ahead of Tottenhams battling 2-2 draw with Manchester United on Sunday which leaves the north London club in ninth place, Bale said: He [AVB] should be given time he is a great manager.

He showed that last year. They are going through a little bit of a bad patch but I am sure he is a good enough manager to pull everybody through and get out the other side and go on a bit of a good run, and hopefully catch up the rest and have a good season.

Bale continued his fine start for his new club with a his first hat-trick in Saturdays 4-0 over Real Valladolid, but revealed he still keeps an eye on his former clubs results.
I have been watching quite a lot of the matches. They have been playing some good stuff, he added.
But they have been very unlucky in front of goal and just havent been clinical enough.

I think they have created the most chances in the league or had the most shots and they havent converted lots of them.
