Mourinho: Stopping Ozil is simply impossible
Jose Mourinho is hatching a plan to stop Mesut Ozil in Chelseas clash with Arsenal on Monday night but admits it will be impossible to keep the Gunners star man quiet for the full 90 minutes.
The Blues boss has played a huge part in the German playmakers career having taken him to Real Madrid from Werder Bremen in 2010.
Mourinho believes the purchase of Ozil has transformed Arsene Wengers side into genuine title contenders this season and knows his team must stop him playing if they are to get a result at the Emirates.
I think I know how to try to stop him to be in the game, with 90 minutes of direct influence, he said.
But its impossible to stop him for 90 minutes, because these kind of players they will have always a moment or a couple of moments where you cannot stop them and they end up showing why they are so good.

To stop him completely, I dont believe we can.
Hes a phenomenal player. Hes one of those players that you buy and you complete the puzzle of your team.
Mourinho was full of praise for the way Wenger has developed his team over the years and believes the addition of club record signing Ozil was the injection the Gunners needed to take the next step up.
If you are just building, building, building, probably youre not going to get there, he said. He got an important player thats changed his team clearly.
Eight years developing his players and making the kinds of (Theo) Walcott, (Kieran) Gibbs, (Aaron) Ramsey and his boys become men and really very good players and at the same time buying people like Mesut. Thats why theyre good (this season).
Im not saying Mesut transformed the team completely. Im saying the manager and the club gave these players conditions and time to have great stability in their evolution.
