Louis van Gaal to agree three-year £25m contract as Manchester United manager this week
Louis van Gaal is expected to agree a deal to take over as Manchester United manager this week.
The Holland coach is the overwhelming favourite to replace David Moyes at Old Trafford and reports now suggest a three-year £25million contract will be tied up in the next few days.
According to the Mirror, Van Gaal wants the deal wrapped up as soon as possible so he can focus on his World Cup swansong with the national team this summer, with his Dutch squad meeting up for their first pre-tournament get-together at the end of next week.
Uniteds rebuilding work will continue behind the scenes with moves for Luke Shaw, Bayern Munichs Toni Kroos and Portos Eliaquim Mangala already lined up.
Van Gaals main rival for the position is Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti but the Italian has distanced himself from the job and would cost United a vast amount in compensation.
