Arsenal injury curse strikes again as goalkeeper Ospina
The Colombian summer signing was set to deputise for the suspended Wojciech Szczesny, meaning Emiliano Martinez will be called into action
Arsene Wenger has been dealt another blow as Arsenals injury crisis deepened further.
Colombian keeper David Ospina, their £3m summer signing, is definitely out of Arsenals Champions League trip to Anderlecht.
That means rookie keeper Emiliano Martinez, 22, will be thrown in to face Anderlecht because first choice Wojciech Szczesny is suspended after being sent off against Galatasaray.
Arsenal also have an injury doubt over defender Isaac Hayden who would have been on the bench against Hull but injured an ankle in training last Friday.
That only limits further Arsenals defensive options and rookie right back Hector Bellerin could play in Belgium with Calum Chambers set to return from suspension at centre half.
Arsene Wenger will have Mikel Arteta and Aaron Ramsey fit to start against Anderlecht while Jack Wilshere will also be OK despite limping off against Hull.
Gunners boss Wenger says Wilshere was not badly hurt. He got a kick on his knee. Its not a concern, its not twisted or anything, said Wenger.
Wenger insists they can bounce back after another disappointing result against Hull by winning against Anderlecht despite their growing injury list.
Wenger added:
We have to focus on the next game, football is made of pragmatism and realism and lets focus on Anderlecht and go on and win the game.
Its a shame we didnt win against Hull but its a shame because there is a good spirit in the side and a lot of quality in there and I think the way we concede goals at the moment is too easy.
