Gunners open talks with Brozovic over £6.4m deal

Arsene Wenger has responded to criticism of his recent transfer dealings by reportedly opening talks with Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.
Arsenals defensive frailties were exposed again in their 2-2 draw against Hull, and Wenger appears to have finally listened to Gunners fans pleas for a new defensive midfielder by opening discussions with the 21-year-old, according to the Daily Mail.
The highly-rated Croatian was the subject of a £3.5 million bid from Inter Milan, but the offer was some way short of Zagrebs valuation and the Gunners have moved quickly in an attempt to ward off the Italians.

Arsenal are likely to bolster their injury-hit squad in January, and Brozovic who has been capped by his country six times could be the man to solve the Gunners defensive midfield problem.
